ICWE 2020 Edition – First time Online
The International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE), is the prime yearly international conference on the different aspects of designing, building, maintaining and using Web applications.
ICWE 2020 will be held on June 9-12, 2020 online, arranged by the University of Helsinki from Finland. The theme for year 2020 – the 20th edition of the event – is Enhancing the Web with Advanced Engineering. The conference will cover the different aspects of Web Engineering, including the design, creation, maintenance and usage of Web applications. ICWE 2020 is endorsed by the International Society for the Web Engineering (ISWE) and belongs to the ICWE conference series owned by ISWE.

What is our goal?
ICWE aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from various disciplines in academia and industry to tackle the emerging challenges in the engineering of Web applications and in the problems of its associated technologies, as well as the impact of those technologies on society, media and culture.
The conference will be arranged by the University of Helsinki from Finland.
The 20th edition of ICWE will accept contributions related to different dimensions of Web Engineering:
- Web application development, modeling and engineering
- Web infrastructures and architectures
- Execution models, such as serverless computing
- Human computation and crowdsourcing applications
- Web application composition and mashups
- Social and Semantic Web applications
- Web of Things applications
- Big Data and data analytics

Call for Contributions
The International Conference on Web Engineering (ICWE) is the premier annual conference showcasing advances in Web Engineering methods, platforms, languages, tools and emerging technologies.
ICWE aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from various disciplines in academia and industry to tackle research and development challenges in the engineering of Web applications as well as dealing with the far-reaching impact of the Web on media, society and culture.

Submission Guidelines
Papers must be formatted according to the information for Springer LNCS authors and submitted in PDF via EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icwe2020). Papers submitted to ICWE 2020 must not be under review elsewhere while under consideration for ICWE 2020, nor may have been already previously published elsewhere. Submissions that are not in compliance with the required submission format or that are out of the scope of the conference will be desk rejected without reviewing.
Update: ICWE 2020 will now also accept HTML submissions that follow Springer LNCS format. HTML submission are done via EasyChair as a zip file containing index.html that works offline and without any installations. It is also mandatory to include pdf version as a backup to the zip file. Any HTML submission that does not follow the LNCS format or other instructions given will be desk rejected without reviewing. See more instructions here.

Notice that at least one author of each accepted contribution must register to the conference.
